The business Glatthard Sport AG is founded on a long family tradition of athletes and sport-lovers.  Arnold (16.6.1910 - 23.11.2002) and Silvia Glatthard founded the business in 1955 and were the first and only to introduce Kneissel skis in the Haslital, which quickly became a favorite for skiers in the area.    Since the beginning, Glatthard sport has placed its emphasis on innovation and advancements in sport equipment.  Arnold Glatthard invented the ice-screw, founded the Mountain Climber School Rosenlaui and was a ski racer, mountain guide, Swiss ski team trainer and honored resident of Meiringen.

Now in the second generation, Matthias and Andrea Glatthard lead the Sport and leisure-fashion shop with the same dedication as the first generation.  For years they have stayed on top of current trends and have paid extra special attention to the needs of their customers.

There is not one piece of equipment in the sport shop that Matthias has not tested himself.  Here he is by one of the 48, 4,000meter peaks in Switzerland that he climbed in 36 days.
